HELLO Village Week II Day1

今年度2回目の「HELLO Village Week II」（11月4日～10日）が始まりました。初日の今日は、まずお昼休みにオープニングセレモニーが開催されました。セレモニーでは、安達教頭，クリス村長，そして英語村委員長の中元雄一郎さんが英語でスピーチを行いました。そのあと，ALTが予定されているイベントについて紹介してくれました。
　放課後には「Kris’Pub Quiz Challenge」が英語村で開催されました。英語村に集まった生徒たちは５チームに分かれ、クリス村長から出題されるクイズに挑戦しました。様々なクイズにチームメイトと協力して挑み，楽しく学ぶ時を過ごすことができました。
　今回出題された問題は、碁盤の目のように並んだ文字から秋に関連する英単語を探し出す「Word Search」、「nanaba」といったアルファベットを並べ替えて意味ある英単語にする「Scrambled Words」，１０本の海外の映画を年代順に並べる「Picture Round」，洋楽のPVを見てその曲に関する問題に答える「Music Video」でした。
　生徒たちは、正解するたびにガッツポーズなどをして盛り上がっていました。今回も熾烈なトップ争いの結果、最後に逆転で１位に輝いたの「Goomba」，２位は「Hogwarts」となりました。
　HELLO Village Week IIは，5日間の開催予定で10日（水）まで続きます。この後も、「Looking at Stereotypes」，「Find Your True Color」，「Kris Cup Speech Contest」などイベントが目白押しです。英語村ではしっかりと感染予防対策を行いながら，英語や海外の文化に触れあう機会をできるかぎり提供していきたいと思っております。

　HELLO Village Week II got started on Nov. 4th. On the first day, we had the opening ceremony during lunch time, where the vice-principle Taro Adachi, the Mayor Kris, and the chair of HELLO Village committee Yuichiro Nakamoto made speeches in English. After that, ALTs introduced what events are waiting for us in this special week.
　On Nov. 4th, there was an after-school event ‘Kris’ Pub Quiz Challenge’ at HELLO Village. Students made 5 teams and faced Kris’ challenge, enjoying English.
　The students worked together with other team-members for solving the following quizzes: ‘Word Search’ (finding autumn-related words from letters arranged in a grid-like way), ‘Scrambled Words’ (changing the order of letters such as ‘nanaba’ in a meaningful way), ‘Picture Round’ (putting 10 foreign movies in a right order), and ‘Music Video’ (Watching a music video and answering the questions about it). This time, the winner was the Team ‘Goomba’, followed by the second-place ‘Hogwarts’.
　HELLO Village Week II will last until Nov. 10th. We are going to offer various opportunities for students to enjoy English and foreign cultures, taking appropriate preventive measures for protecting students from infection.
